Meet

Oscar

This cute little snowman 

was a burned out light bulb 

with nothing to look forward to .

...I just had to rescue it 

from a lonely existence 

and worse ..death at the local dump.

....With a little help 

of a hat, 

crochet with vhs tape,

scrap of ribbon, some beads 

and a little bit of paint 

the lonely old light bulb

 became Oscar the Snowman

 guaranteed to bring joy and cheer 

for years to come.

Meet Miss Fidi

Crochet with VHS Tape , Gift Ribbon

 and painstakingly collected mauve 

plastic bags my newspaper comes in. 

Fully lined with salvaged fabric 

and a zipper from my zipper collection.

The handle I created with hand painted wooden beads 

salvaged from a car seat and a metal hanger

and voila...

a new eco glam purse was born .

Upcycled Deliciousness

...and just because the last couple of trees I made were so much fun,

I just had to make another .

This time I used copper wire

 reclaimed from about 30 feet of cable wire

....Thanks Rogers 

I repurposed an amber color  bangle for the frame

 and amber colored beads from previous projects...

hmmmm... I shall call it my

  Chocolate Toffee Tree

Glacier Medley

Jewelry With A Past

I created this simple yet elegant pendant 

from a blue crystal hoop earring,

a translucent blue dangler 

that belonged to a vintage necklace I had taken apart earlier for other projects,

added a a frosted blue , a pony and a translucent blue hex bead

 to pull the look together.

To complement the unique pendant,

 I choose to string translucent blue hex bead for the necklace

 to keep it simple. 

I love the cool crispyness of this piece....

it reminds me of a glacier glistening in the sun

More Video Tape Adventures

Unlike my last design,

 I decided to use a plain DVD with decorative etching to to give it that little bit of extra flair.

 Since the bag was created during my beading frenzy ,

I embellished it with some sparkling bead work. 

The handle I created with wooden car seat beads that I stained black,

 added a few clear chandelier beads on the sides to compliment the intricate seed beading in the center.

 Fully lined with a zippered pocket

 and of course with a zipper closure....

Inspired by the Ice Storm we had in December.
I used part of an earring for the circle, distressed it a bit to give it a bit more of an icy look, added a variety of previously loved bling and painted the silver wire trunk with a bit of sparkly glitter to get more of the frozen solid look ...
